The University of Texas is committed to protecting users’ privacy. This privacy policy governs your use solely of the software application “Thrive at UT” (“the Application”) created for mobile devices by the Counseling and Mental Health Center.
“Thrive at UT” does not collect data from users. Neither personally identifiable information (such as your name or email address), nor location information is collected. All information gathered through activities and questions within this mobile application is used solely for the purpose of defining your user experience within the Application. Responses to activities and questions are not stored or shared beyond your mobile device.
Since no personally identifiable information is collected through the application, none is shared with third parties.
Certain analytical data about the operation of the Application (i.e., number and length of sessions, and the specific pages of the Application viewed) is collected. This data is used only to measure the adoption and to evaluate the performance of the Application.
The Application uses Google Analytics to help analyze how visitors use its content and features. Google Analytics uses “cookies”, which are small text files placed on your device, to collect standard internet log information and visitor behavior information in an anonymous form. The anonymous information generated by Google Analytics is transmitted to Google – not the University of Texas or any of its affiliates. This information is processed to compile statistical reports on activity for the Application only.
The Resource sections within the Application contain links to third-party owned and/or operated websites. “Thrive at UT” is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such websites. These third-party websites have separate privacy and data collection practices and "Thrive at UT" has no responsibility or liability relating to them.
At certain points during the Application you have the ability to contribute comments to a moderated Community message board. These contributions are entirely optional, and if submitted, are made anonymous. That said, you should be aware that any information that you submit in the comments section can be read by all users of the app.
You also have the ability to share the Application using your social media accounts. Once the Application links you to your personal social media accounts, your activities are governed by the privacy policies of those entities.
This online and mobile privacy policy applies only to information collected through the Application and not to information collected by other applications, websites, or offline activities by the University of Texas.
By using the Application, you consent to this privacy policy.
This privacy policy may change from time to time, and all updates will be posted on this page. This policy was last modified on 08/31/2019.
If you have any questions or comments about this Privacy Policy or feel that we are not abiding by it, please contact us.
