Beauty of Impermanence in Nature
Find a safe and comfortable place outdoors, and take notice of any changes that are occuring in the present moment. Maybe an insect is moving around. Maybe the clouds are changing shape. Maybe leaves are falling from trees.
Smile in the Mirror
Take a moment and smile in the mirror. What do you notice? Smiling slows the heart, relaxes the body, and releases endorphins that counteract and diminish stress hormones.
11 a.m. at BEL 22A. All are welcome, no experience necessary. Organized by the Center for Students in Recovery.
Grateful for Me
Take a moment to write down 3 things about yourself that you are grateful for. What do you notice while leaning into self-gratitude?
Follow along with this video on how to use tapping to relieve anxiety and calm the body.
Set a timer for 5 minutes or more and doodle (see video for examples). Doodling can be helpful in relieving stress. What do you notice as you doodle??
Download the free Thrive at UT app and complete the Self-Compassion module.
Dots & Boxesl
Grab a friend, a piece of dotted paper, and:
1. Take turns connecting neighboring dots with lines (no diagonal connections).
2. When your line finishes a box, put your initials inside.
3. The game is over when all the dots are connected. Count the boxes, the player with the most wins.
