Strategies for Stress Management

  • Wed and Thu
  • Wed: noon to 12:30 p.m. Thu: 4 to 4:30 p.m.
  • Virtual

Strategies for Stress Management are 30-minute drop-in classes that will have rotating stress management strategy features including movement, music, art, nature, and connection. Prior to joining these virtual group sessions, please attempt to be in a quiet, private, place—but don’t worry too much about being in the perfect setting. Mindfulness can happen anywhere!

The format of each class will include brief instructions at the start that includes a check-in, practice strategies for stress management through mindfulness, and we’ll end with a check-in and optional discussion.

Mindfulness Meditation Group

  • Tuesdays
  • 11:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
  • Virtual

This group is open to students, faculty and staff with any level of meditation experience. The group begins with a guided meditation for 15 minutes, followed by silent meditation for 10 minutes and ending with a 20 minute discussion to process the experience and offer support. Participants can join at any time – late arrivals or early departures are accommodated.

Overcoming Anxiety with Yoga and Mindfulness

  • Tuesdays
  • 2:30 to 4 p.m. (4 week sessions)
  • Virtual

This four-week workshop is for students who experience anxiety that makes it difficult to focus, quiet the mind, or generally enjoy life. Each session focuses on a physical yoga practice, in which members will learn yoga techniques to manage stress and anxiety. No prior yoga experience is necessary. This workshop is open to all fitness and ability levels.
