You don't need health insurance to access UHS, but we do accept most major U.S. insurance plans, including the student health insurance plan, AcademicBlue.

Incoming Student Requirements

All incoming students must comply with immunization and medical clearance requirements prior to registering for classes. Additionally, all incoming students must also complete the Health and Well-Being Modules.

Parents Accessing Medical Records

Anyone who has access to your UT EID and password will have access to your medical records. See the medical records access page for information on important privacy considerations.

STI Testing

If you're experiencing symptoms, schedule an appointment for testing in either the Primary Care or Gynecology Clinics.

If you don't have symptoms, you can use the STI Nurse Screening Clinic.

If you'd like to discuss your concerns with a registered nurse first, call the 24/7 Nurse Advice Line at 512-475-6877.

Gynecology Clinic Extended Telehealth Hours

The Gynecology Clinic now offers extended telehealth hours, allowing students to consult on contraception, annual exams, STI testing and UTI evaluations. Providers are available mornings, evenings and weekends for added convenience.

Asymptomatic screenings for chlamydia, gonorrhea, hepatitis B and C, HIV and syphilis, confidential, timely results delivered electronically.

A free 3rd party virtual mental health and well-being platform for currently enrolled UT Austin students. Through either the mobile app or desktop, receive 24/7 access to virtual care through phone or secure video visits from anywhere in the United States.
