Healthyhorns Stop Germs - New Appointment Guidelines

UHS has implemented telemedicine visits to enhance student and campus safety during the COVID-19 pandemic. Telehealth visits utilize Zoom with enhanced features that make it compliant with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). Many telehealth visits can be scheduled online, but not all. For your safety there are times you will need to call to speak with a staff member for an appointment.

Before calling for an appointment, click on MyUHS and log-in to complete the following:

UHS Consent to Treat

You will need to complete this annually

Submit insurance information

Submit only if not already done or if it has changed.

On the left menu:

  • click Messages
  • select New Message
  • then I want to submit my insurance information, and complete the form

Upload an image of the front and back of your card by clicking the Insurance Card tab in the MyUHS portal

Incomplete forms

Check the menu on the left to determine if any additional forms need to be completed

After completing these items, if you are not able to schedule your visit online, call the UHS Appointment Line at 512-471-4955 or the UHS Nurse Advice Line at 512-475-6877 Monday through Friday between 8:00am – 5:00pm to schedule a telehealth visit.

To increase security, multi-factor authentication (Duo) will be required to access most online services requiring a UT EID login, including MyUHS.

Instructions for setting up DUO

For your safety and the safety of the UT campus, we request that you do not come to UHS unless instructed to do so by our staff.

If you need to access the MyUHS web portal for reasons other than scheduling or to complete the items above, click the MyUHS link.
