COVID-19 Modification to Services: UHS remains open during normal business hours (M-F 8AM-5PM) to provide care for most health concerns through telemedicine, including evaluation of COVID-19. For the safety of our patients and staff, we will be scheduling in-person appointments for acute illness or injury only after an initial telemedicine consultation in which the provider determines an in-person visit is necessary in order to provide treatment or care. Please call UHS at 512-471-4955 to schedule or the UHS Nurse Advice Line at 512-475-6877 for guidance about when to come to UHS.

The UHS radiology remains open but may be accessed by appointment only.

UHS has a state-of-the-art digital radiology center providing diagnostic x-rays and ultrasound exams on campus. To get a radiological exam, you need an order from a healthcare provider (like a prescription). Most exams require no special preparation. If yours does, your healthcare provider will explain what you need to do.

Ultrasound appointments must be cancelled 24 hours prior to the appointment or the patient will be charged $25.

If an off-campus doctor sends your radiology order to UHS, please call us before you come in to make sure we have received it.

We send results to the provider who ordered them, so be sure to have the correct spelling of your doctor's name, their current address, phone number, and fax number. Orders should include the date, types of x-rays or ultrasound needed, the doctor's signature, and your medical history related to your illness or injury.

While UHS does not provide MRIs, CT scans, bone scans, or mammograms, we can refer you to local facilities that do.
