Counseling and Mental Health Center
About Us
Counseling and Mental Health Center is a full-service mental health center providing students with access to:
- Crisis counseling including 24/7 care
- Individual and specialty counseling
- 24/7 mental health support services provided by My SSP (My Student Support Program)
- The Mental Health Assistance and Response Team, uniting trained mental health professionals and UTPD officers.
- Various well-being resourcesv
CMHC professional staff work with partners across campus to bolster students’ wellness and safety. To build a healthier community, CMHC works with professionals at the Longhorn Wellness Center and other partners to address priority health and wellness issues such as sleep habits, stress management, body image struggles and high‐risk drinking.
Facility
Counseling and Mental Health Center occupies nearly 10,000 sq. ft. spanning the entire 5th floor of the Student Services Building.
Our Fundraising Needs
CMHC is in need of donations for:
- Students who are in need of mental healthcare provided by CMHC and are un or underinsured. An example includes psychiatric services and medication management.
- Students who are in need of mental healthcare provided by off-campus providers and are un or underinsured. An example includes intensive outpatient mental health programs.
