Preparing for In-Person and Telehealth Appointments
For All Appointments
Step One
Approximately 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment, please log in to your MyUHSCMHC portal to complete any surveys or questionnaires required.
Step Two
On the left side of your screen, locate and click on the "Surveys" tab. Then, within the "Survey Invitations" section, click on any available links to fill them out. For example, you may see links such as "CCAPS" or "PHQ-9".
Step Three
To access your questionnaire, first, navigate to the "Appointments" tab on the left side of your screen. Then, locate your appointment time (e.g., 8 a.m.) and click on "Complete Questionnaire".
Telehealth Appointments
We offer services via video and phone, a practice commonly known as "telehealth." It's a convenient and effective way to access the support you need, and it's just a few easy steps away.
Before your session, consider a few important factors:
- Privacy: Find a quiet, private location where you can talk openly with your counselor without interruptions or the risk of being overheard.
- Technology: Decide whether you'll be using a computer, phone, or tablet, and whether you'll rely on your device's built-in speakers and microphone or prefer using headphones with a microphone.
- Handling Disruptions: Life happens, and disruptions are common—whether a family member walks in, the fire alarm goes off, or the internet connection gets shaky. We understand. Our counselors will discuss strategies to manage these situations, so they won't be a barrier to your progress.
