Abbey Pelosi is a Counselor in the Counselors in Academic Residence (CARE) Program, a program that provides mental health services in academic offices to facilitate students' academic and life goals. She provides clinical services to students in the College of Pharmacy and is also available to provide prevention and outreach and consultation services to PHAR faculty and staff.
Abbey is committed to establishing a supportive space where students can heal, grow, and feel truly seen. She specializes in helping students navigate relationship challenges, identity exploration, build confidence, manage big feelings, and adjust to life’s transitions. Abbey views counseling as a meaningful way to bridge the gap between where you are now and where you want to be – guiding you towards a greater sense of clarity, satisfaction, and fulfillment. She tailors her approach to fit each student’s unique needs.
CARE Clinical Services
- Students are primarily referred by College of Pharmacy staff or faculty member. Students interested in learning more about resources to support their mental health can contact Abbey directly.
- Abbey will assess student needs and offer appropriate services (e.g. short-term counseling, resources and referrals, crisis intervention, and groups)

- Topics vary (e.g. stress management, test anxiety, assisting students in distress, perfectionism, procrastination)
