HealthyhornsTXT

HealthyhornsTXT, a text messaging program from the Longhorn Wellness Center, is dedicated to enhancing your health and academic success during your time at The University of Texas at Austin. You'll receive informative text messages covering a wide range of topics, including campus resources and events, physical activity, nutrition, sleep, stress management, mental health, alcohol risk reduction and general health tips.

Our messages are meticulously crafted by health education experts and our valued campus partners. We actively involve HealthyhornsTXT users in shaping our content, conducting surveys each semester to ensure our messages are useful and informative. Additionally, some texts include insights from an annual UT Austin National Social Norms Center survey, collected from a representative random sample of UT Austin undergraduate students. Your well-being and success are our top priorities.

HLTHYHRNS: The Texas sun is powerful! When outside, wear broad spectrum SPF 30+ sunscreen, stay hydrated and wear light clothing to stay protected.

HLTHYHRNS: Hey Longhorn! Take a minute to stretch, fill up your water bottle, and grab a snack. You can do this!

HLTHYHRNS: We hope you enjoyed your break! As you return to classes, take care of yourself. Check out the MindBody lab on the 5th floor of SSB or NUR 5.10D.
