Social Connection Campus Performance

This event is part of an academic course that uses theatre and storytelling to explore themes of belonging, isolation and loneliness. Students in the course worked together to develop this new interactive workshop for their fellow students.

A performance conversation about loneliness and belonging

Join us for an informal performance featuring voices from across campus sharing real experiences with loneliness.

Together, we’ll explore:

  • How do we cope with feeling lonely?
  • What helps us feel less alone?
  • Where and how do we find belonging?

Come listen, reflect and connect with others.

The Longhorn Wellness Center and Counseling and Mental Health Center offer free resources to help you build connection and community:

  • LWC workshops on topics like connection, self-care and well-being.
  • Longhorn SHARE Project – a peer support program created by and for UT students. Through student-led groups and conversations, SHARE creates space to feel seen, supported and connected with others who may be going through similar experiences.
  • CMHC Counseling Groups – facilitated by Counseling and Mental Health Center clinicians, these clinical counseling groups offer a space to connect with others, feel less alone and build coping and communication skills.
