Telehealth vs. In-Person Appointments

Some health concerns are best evaluated through a telehealth appointment while others are best for an on-site appointment.

Health clearance visits for study abroad
Your telehealth provider may order labs or tests that need to be performed in person.

  • Gynecological concerns

If you schedule a telehealth appointment but your telehealth provider believes you would benefit from an on-site evaluation, they can refer you for an on-site appointment. We recommend all patients seeking continued care at UHS have at least one onsite appointment per year.

UHS uses Zoom with security features that are compliant with privacy requirements of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
